Chocolate smoothie (low-glycemic)

  • 2-3 tbsp of almond butter
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 2 cups of almond milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp xylitol or 4 drops of stevia (optional)
  • 1 ½ scoops of vanilla whey protein powder
  • 1 tbsp of cocoa
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes

This is an excellent smoothie for anyone wanting to decrease the amount of sugar consumption in their diet.  The creaminess of the smoothie offsets the fact that it has no added sweetness.  Ideal to consume on a candida cleanse as well.

Mix in blender until smooth. Enjoy!
